
Cryptocurrency Prices Today on August 24: Bitcoin falls more than 1%

Major cryptocurrencies are trading mixed, with Bitcoin falling more than 1 percent.
The global cryptocurrency market capitalisation is currently $2.13 trillion, a 0.14 percent increase in the past 24 hours.
While Bitcoin is trading at above $49,000, gaining more than 6 pecent in a week. Ethereum is trading more than 1 percent higher at around $3,300.
Cardano, which recently touched a record high to become the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, continues to occupy that spot.
PayPal said it would allow customers in the UK to buy, sell and hold bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies starting this week.
“We are committed to continue working closely with regulators in the UK, and around the world, to offer our support and meaningfully contribute to shaping the role digital currencies will play in the future of global finance and commerce,” Jose Fernandez da Ponte, vice president and general manager for blockchain, crypto and digital currencies at PayPal, said in a statement.
